TISB – A home away from home.

From drama to sports to Model United Nations conferences to CAS trips, TISB is every student’s playground. My eyes feasted on the spread before me and in a matter of seconds, I was scribbling my name furiously on every sign up sheet on the notice board. I was able to experiment everything available on the platter which taught me how to multi-task. My passion for dance was first brought out during VIVUM 08, an inter-school fest organized solely by the student body. It proved to be the base for many of the amazing performances that followed. In TISB, it is never too late to experiment a new activity and so I was soon a part of the drama club and not much later, a part of the MUN club that competed at Boston University.

This did not stop me from stepping out onto the evergreen football field and the inviting swimming pool because sports definitely are an integral part of any youth’s life. These opportunities came with tiny packages of life learning experiences. Growing as a global citizen as well as a healthy individual would be the most apt description of my experience. Quick at the feet, managing crisis situations as well as keeping the status-quo are situations one learns to handle and tackle as a student. With a cultural diversity such we have at  TISB, social networking is easier. A comfortable boarding environment unifies Koreans, Germans, Indians, etc. all under one roof and proves to be a home away from home.
A friend once told me that the most unassuming things in life can make you happy if you are ready to gain a new perspective. This statement materialized itself in TISB. With its excellent academic record, it provides a first class education as well as a firm foundation for budding engineers, artists and many more professions. It has brought out a positive change in me giving me a fresh new perspective to life. It certainly made the headlines of my newspaper and very recently the headlines of The Times of India attaining the title of the Best International School in the World. I’m sure that this is proof enough that it is capable of making your headlines as well.

We are thrilled to announce that 71.2% of our students gained A* - A grades in IGCSE with 7 students achieving a full complement of A* grades across all subjects.

TISB achieves its best IB results in its 18-year history.

A remarkable 5 students have achieved the maximum 45 points, and are also awarded with the sought after Chairman’s Scholarship of Rs 5 Lakhs each. A further 7 students scored 44 points. The percentage of students with 40 - 45 points is 40.33% with an overall average of 38 points.

It is a testament to the dedication and commitment of the teachers, the support of the families and boarding staff and most especially the hard work and effort of the students at TISB that we can now be so proud of this achievement.

Please do visit TISB at our next Open Morning, specifically for prospective Grade 11 students, on Saturday 1st December 2018, from 8.15am – 2pm.
