The Chairman's Message

The ChairmanThe International School Bangalore (TISB), aims to deliver an international educational programme beyond the limits of the academic curriculum. It offers a wholesome and sound education in a state-of-the-art setting. The School is second to none in the exciting possibilities it has with the most modern facilities on campus and a faculty rich in talent and experience.

Our expectations are high, not only from our pupils but from our staff as well. Each one must recognize the value of a caring and motivational atmosphere and be aware of the need to work in partnership with parents for the future success of the students as they prepare for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life.

In fact, the all-round education offered in the classroom, the dormitories, the playgrounds and the campus in many ways encapsulates a training that has all the richness and flavour of the ancient Indian systems and all the vision and breadth of modern education. Even the very IB and IGCSE curricula have scope to expand or digress into values that will build a true citizen of the modern world.

The Dean's Message

The DeanThe International School Bangalore (TISB), respects the nationalities and cultures of all the students and staff. The school ethos includes elements that promote integration and appreciation. The children are encouraged to look beyond the walls of the classroom and develop the global perspective on life that has become the hallmark of the School. The international nature of the students and staff is a natural setting for global understanding.

Besides keeping pace with international schools around the world TISB also constantly keeps in touch with the development of education in the many quality schools in Bangalore itself and in India. This sometimes takes the form of inter school meets and national and international tours.

The Director's Message

The DirectorTISB is strongly aligned to an educational paradigm that focuses on empowering students with appropriate life skills and a sound knowledge domain bearing particular relevance in the context of a globalised world.

The rigorous international academic programmes, wide array of sporting and non-sporting co-curricular options, outward bound activity, coupled with a worthwhile boarding experience, provides ample opportunity for students to acquire essential leadership skills and to become life long learners.

As a home to students from over 30 countries, TISB is a culturally rich salad bowl of nationalities and communities co-existing harmoniously in a wholesome and secure environment that fosters healthy respect and understanding for people from all cultures.

I invite parents and students to be a part of the TISB family, sharing common ideals and aspirations as we forge through a proven challenging and enriching educational experience for our students.

Dr (Mrs) Bindu Hari MSc (Chem.)., B.Ed, Ph.D

The Principal's Message

princiI am delighted to introduce myself as the new Principal of TISB. It is wonderful to join the school at a time when the Grade XII students have achieved their best ever IB results, which only confirms the dedication and hard work of all teachers, boarding staff and students.

Since my arrival I have been overwhelmed by the warm community spirit felt around the school, in boarding and amongst the staff generally. We are of course also incredibly fortunate to be situated in such an extensive and impressive campus which easily accommodates the number of co-curricular activities on offer to all TISB students, both boarding and day. It is my firm belief that the successful, well-rounded, resilient students that TISB aims to produce should receive a balance of academic rigour, co-curricular activities and support from the staff, and I am thrilled to have joined such a dynamic, successful and thriving school that does indeed offer all three. There are many exciting events to look forward to this year, beginning with Vivum on 23 -24 August, which the Grade XII students are busily finalising, and I very much look forward to meeting you individually in the near future.
