Application Procedure

We hold ourselves to a high standard of effective recruiting practices with specific attention to child protection. DEPUTY PRINCIPAL ACADEMIC

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:

  • A Master's Degree in Education, Leadership, or a related field (or equivalent qualification)
  • At least 5 years of senior academic leadership experience, in India or overseas
  • Extensive knowledge of IGCSE and IB curricula, assessment systems, and pedagogy
  • Proven track record in leading academic teams and fostering a culture of academic excellence and innovation
  • Demonstrated experience in academic planning, data analysis, and using results to drive school-wide improvement
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal and pastoral skills
  • Excellent organisational and strategic thinking abilities
  • Knowledge of best practices in teacher development and professional learning

Working Terms:

  • Full-time position based at the school

Recruitment Process:

HOD PSYCHOLOGY

 Position open for Academic Year 2025-2026

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher with additional responsibility as HOD and IBDP experience to join our Psychology Department. The successful candidate should be comfortable teaching students of IBDP. A willingness to be fully involved in the extra-curricular life of a busy boarding school is essential.    

Experience-  Minimum 8 years in teaching Psychology to higher grades, IGCSE and IBDP and 3-4 years’ experience as HOD  

Education –  PhD/M.Phil/Post-Graduate Degree/B.Ed./PGDIE/CIDTL preferred   

Position description:  
The teacher is responsible for delivering IBDP curriculum for the IBDP Programme as assigned by the Principal and timetabled by the school.  

He/she works as part of the department team to provide effective teaching and learning programmes focused on improving student engagement and achievement in one or more Learning Areas. 

The HOD/teacher actively promotes and reinforces the TISB Vision and Mission and exhibits professional responsibility at all times. He/she is a positive and professional role model, an expert in their subject area and contributes to the school through their professional relationships with students, parents and the wider community.
