Middle School (Grades 6 - 8)
Middle School – Grade 6
The transition for your child from Primary School to Senior School can be daunting and at TISB we endeavour to make this step up as smooth as possible. Your child will learn to become more independent, resourceful and organised as they mature and acquire the necessary skills to adapt to the change. Current TISB Grade 5 students take part in ‘Transition Week’ which includes time with our current Grade 6 students.
The curriculum in Grade 6 is designed to encourage independence, a love for learning, a willingness to take calculated risks and to provide a stimulating and encouraging atmosphere in which to grow and develop.
Middle School - Grades 7 and 8
During Grades 7 and 8 your child will have the opportunity to study and develop ability in a wide range of academic subjects. Students are challenged to advance their thinking in new and exciting ways and as well as deepen their understanding of subject knowledge.
Grade 7 is a time to take full advantage of the extensive co-curricular activities on offer, learn to build on skills already learnt and develop further interests.
Grade 8 is an exciting and challenging time as your son or daughter decides which subjects to pursue during the IGCSE two-year course starting in Grade 9.
