Arya, Grade 9, raising awareness of the need for Blood Donations

Arya, Grade 9, has joined hands with Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital and is creating awareness regarding Blood Donation during this time of COVID-19.

Blood donation levels have dropped to a dangerous low during the pandemic with hospitals and blood banks running out of stock.  The problem is that the public don't want to donate due to the virus scare.

Arya has been raising awareness in gated communities and through friends and family, and has raised nearly 75 units of blood so far, but is not stopping there!  She has been introduced to BEML (a Defense Public Sector) and they have agreed to donate blood for two weeks.  Prestige Ozone and Epsilon have also been very supportive giving blood when the Blood Donation Bus to come to their communities. The precaution levels taken by Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital’s Blood Bank are extremely high.

Blood is essential for many reasons in hospitals including emergency heart operations and other general surgeries.
