Originating from Kerala, ‘Gods Own Country’, Mr Bimal is TISB’s Coordinator for Grade 12. He has been teaching for 16 years, and for the last 14 years he has been part of the TISB family – living on campus together with his wife and daughter. Being a scientist at heart, Mr Bimal is always examining the flora and fauna in his surroundings while walking around campus with his colleagues and friends, looking up insects and plants on a National Geographic app. We reached out to Mr Bimal to find out more about him and his experience at TISB.

The more you get exposed to a subject, the more you like the subject – Mr Bimal, Coordinator Grade 12.

As the Coordinator for Grade 12, Mr Bimal is in charge of the organisation, planning and follow-up of the teaching and learning in the last year of the IB – connecting with form tutors, students and parents, to ensure the best and smoothest results. Working at TISB has always been a rewarding experience for Mr Bimal, and interacting with young and creative minds on a daily basis is at the centre of this reward. “This helps me to stay updated and inspires me to be the best version of myself”, says Mr Bimal.

Although happening on distance, overseeing and being in regular contact with the current Grade 12 batch, Mr Bimal is looking forward to working with and celebrating all successes and triumphs with his students. For him, being a teacher is all about the learning and development of the students at school. “I am most proud of the moments when I discover that the students that I have taught grow up to become responsible and successful citizens of the world”, says Mr Bimal.
