NASA Internship - COVID-19 research
Our own Grade 12 student, Parth Bharghava, was selected for the prestigious 'Student Enhancement in Earth and Space Science (SEES)' summer internship hosted by The University of Texas.
The programme that is sponsored by NASA, and selects students to undertake real research using NASA data. During the internship programme, Parth got to do investigations as part of the 'Covid-19 space exploration for a better world team'.
Because of the current global pandemic, the internship was completed virtually and online. “The NASA SEES internship was an incredible experience. Given the Covid situation and being the only student living in India, I did the entire programme from Bengaluru, dialing into team meetings late at night, getting to listen and ask questions to the world’s leading scientists and engineers was one of the most helpful aspects of this programme. As a final project, I worked with a small team to research how technology can be used to address mental health effects of Covid19, employing the use of data from NASA’s Human Research Programme”, says Parth.
