A new issue is out by the TISB student-led magazine, ‘Echonomixx’ is out soon. The magazine was founded by the TISB Economics Club, and aims at empowering student views and perspectives and giving them a voice on issues that are predominant in the world and paramount to them. The latest issue of the magazine is on Presidency and Leadership; an essential matter in today’s world of turmoil and global governance. We got in touch with Devarya, Ameya and Seongjoon from the Echonomixx team, to find out more about the publication and the latest issue.

Presidency and Leadership, a theme essential in today’s tumultuous world as one must establish a sense of governance and regulation to conserve and pacify the chaos – Devarya, Grade 11

The Echonomixx magazine is an online publication initiated by the students of TISB which consists of articles by students. The team hopes that the publication will be successful in attracting external contributors as well such as professors and other aficionados of economics in the future. “This issue hopes to provide an insight into how differing opinions on the formation of a sense of governance can help establish a rostrum for leaders to transform into being adept and superintend”, says Devarya, who is the co-editor of the magazine.

The magazine aims to be a source for students deepen their knowledge on certain topics related to economics and politics, as well as for readers to broaden their views. “Any source which is successful in providing the consumer with an insight into the commotion of today’s political, economic or social scenario shall be deemed essential”, explains Devarya who believes that by reading contributions, not only will they influence one’s understanding, but also challenge their existing stance and re-evaluate one’s reasoning. Moreover, the team believes that by contributing to the publication, students will enhance their skills in terms of writing, analysing and justifying. “In order for them to contribute, they must acquire knowledge which shall perhaps occur from reading, or interacting with educational videos, which will only magnify their intellect”, says Devarya and thinks this will sharpen their knowledge in the future.

“The student-led magazine, also aims at exploring possible solutions to the world’s economic problems and provide a platform to the students who wish to voice their opinions”, says Ameya, who is the Echonomixx Head of Design and Publication. The magazine is a monthly publication, and the editions are published on the Echonomixx website. The magazine also has an active Instagram page @echonomixx, where one can keep track of the latest updates.

The team leading the magazine has hopes to develop and to broaden their writers- and readers-base in the future. “We are striving to give the opportunity to write articles to as many people as possible. Hence, we are planning to deal with a variety of interesting topics for the future releases including sports, natural disasters and many more”, says Seongjoon, who is the Editor in Chief of the magazine. "We hope more students can use this excellent opportunity to share their viewpoints regarding specific economics issues!”, concludes Seongjoon.
