Teacher Portrait – Mr Vinoth
Mr Vinoth was born and brought up in Tamil Nadu, and started playing basketball at a fairly early age. Passionate about sports, he has been playing basketball for 20 years and coached young athletes for six years. Being part of the TISB PE team and being a devoted teacher, Mr Vinoth likes to keep up-to-date with sports science and physical education to pass it on to his students during lessons. We got in touch with Mr Vinoth to learn more about his passion and inspiration for the future.
I always want to update myself with a lot of new things so that I can share the knowledge with my students – Mr Vinoth, PE Teacher
Being on his third year as a teacher with the PE Department, Mr Vinoth teaches PE and specialised basketball lessons. With his coaching spirit, what Mr Vinoth likes best about working with TISB is engaging the students, as a lot of them are as dedicated and passionate as he is. What makes him even more inspired about basketball, strength and physical conditioning, is developing and deepening his teaching with knowledge of sports and physical science. In the future, Mr Vinoth is looking forward to train and encourage his students, and hopefully one day soon see them represent the school in national or international competitions.
