Grade 12 Students Yearbook 2022
This year the graduation of Grade 12 happened, and fantastic parents were able to participate and celebrate the graduation by producing a Yearbook. We reached out to Mrs Bela, Mrs Divya, Mrs Anuparma and Dr Puneet who have been the key producers and designers involved in creating the 228 pages with creative, formal and fun elements. In other words, making a great production.
We've come to realise the value of memories and school friends more than ever – Mrs Bela
Although the production of the Yearbook seemed like an easy thing to do, it turned out to be more demanding in terms of time and involvement. “The team was lovely, sharp and prompt. Efficiency inspires. The prize here is that smile on their faces, ten years in the future. It will make all our work worth it”, says Mrs Bela, who appreciates that the volunteer group was small and like-minded. “It felt immensely heart-warming and rewarding constructing the yearbook for the batch of 2022. Reading their answers always brought a smile on our faces”, explains Mrs Divya, who along with her team became passionately involved, where they were having memories coming back and shared along the way.
Along the line of the Yearbook’s catchphrase ‘Against all odds’, the engaged and proactive mothers overcame many issues. “Time. Coordination. Corrections. Follow-ups. These were by far the most challenging aspects”, says Mrs Divya, who along with her team picked up good time holding and managed to get it together, going from a dozen drafts to a final version among a great group of stakeholders. Mr Santanu managed to take part as well, and managed to clock the co-ordination between parents, students, teachers and staff. “Challenges are everywhere. But an important thing would be not to make a challenge out of everything”, says Mrs Bela, and gives a recommendation to just keep it simple.
Through working on the Yearbook, being a long and diversified publication, the productive parents have been passionately involved. “I have cracked up laughing at most of their responses and have mushed up at most of their messages. All that's in there is 100% love, joy, friendship and them”, says Mrs Divya, who really likes everything. “The love and friendship they have is really something to appreciate. It is the invisible gold dust which comes out once you open the book”, says Mrs Bela. “For me it was a pleasure doing the editing of the yearbook with the student responses. Yes, definitely the superpower of the kids really amazed me as well as made me laugh”, says Mrs Anupama, who along with the team had a lot of fun while editing the book.
Despite that the participating parents put in hard work and a lot of time while producing the Yearbook, they are very happy for doing it, and will save it as a treasured memory. “Volunteering with the yearbook team was a privilege and I realised how mature these fresh graduates are, who rate their friendships above all else in the world”, says Dr Puneet, who along with her partner parents now are relieved and believes that the world is in safe hands.
