KSFA Tournament Win

Aryan in Grade 8 and his team have recently won the finals in the Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA) tournament with the Boca juniors U-14 team. The KSFA tournament started on 9 January in Bangalore football stadium, near the Garuda mall, and the team played eight matches. “We first had the qualifying round where we won five games and drew one game”, says Aryan whose team qualified at the top of the table. Winning a total of seven games and drawing one, the team made it into the semi-finals and then into the finals where they won a splendid victory.

Aryan started playing football in Grade 2 at the age of eight. He trains every day, except for Monday to give recovery time. Due to the win the team now has a month’s break. The win gives Aryan confidence and hope for the future. “Being a member of the winning team gives me a lot of confidence to continue training hard and learning the game further as my competition will only get harder in the future”, says Aryan who sees this as a good first step toward his future sporting career.
